Erma L. Cook of Pineville, WV - Erma L. Cook, 73, died Wednesday, May 19, 1999, in a Beckley hospital following a long illness. Born April 22, 1926, in Basin, she was the daughter of the late Edward Lee and Ella McKinney. Mrs. Cook was a homemaker. She was of the Baptist faith and a lifelong resident of Wyoming County. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Survivors include two sons, George M. Cook of Richlands, VA and Mervin Cook of Pineville; four daughters, Rebecca Amato of Reading, PA, Kathy Houchins of Ramey Addition, Pineville, Martha Bowling of Pineville and Ella Lafferty of Oceana; 11 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Graveside services and burial will be 1 p.m. Saturday at the Bower Cenetery, Twin Falls State Park, with the Rev. Ted Oliiver officiating. There will be no visitation.
