Married William Crosby Faith 10/23/1898 in Petersburg, Menard, Illinois. Mrs. Hettie May Faith, 67, who formerly resided at 318 East Pleasant street, died Thursday afternoon at 4:15 in Highland Hospital of a stroke and complications following an illness of six months. A former restaurant employee, she lived here since 1926. Funeral services for MRs. Faith will be Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock in the Witbeck-Wheeler-Sabien funeral home with Rev. William Ortner, pastor of the Rockford Seventh Day Adventist church, officiating. Interment will be in Belvidere Cemetery. Friends may call any time in the funeral home. Mrs. Faith was born July 25, 1879, at Petersburg, ILL., a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. McKinney. She attended schools there and was united in marriage in that city Oct. 23, 1898, to William Crosby Faith who died here May 26, 1932. Coming to Belevidere 20 years ago from Petersburg, Mrs. Faith had since been a resident here. Surviving are three sons, Henry and Robert Faith, Petersburg, and Arthur Faith, Rockford; five daughters, Mrs. Myrtle Becker and Mrs. Margaret Bohlmann of Belvidere, Mrs Ora Schafer, Petersburg, Mrs. Emma Nelson, Chicago and Mrs. Agnes Dochier, Rockford; two brothers, Albert McKinney, Springfield, and Mose McKinney, Baltimore; and four sisters Mrs. Marie Hubbard, Belivdere, Mrs. Annie Watkins, Springfield, Mrs. Mollie Denton, Petersburg and Mrs. Laura Briner, St Louis. There are also 23 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, one son, three daughters and parents.
