He retired as a schoolteacher from the Central Dauphin School District; was an Army veteran of World War II; and a member of Bible Baptist Church, Shiremanstown.
Surviving are his wife, Alma R. McKinney; two daughters, Mary E. Jones of York and Betty J. McKinney of West Virginia; a son, Allen R. of York; and seven grandchildren.
Graveside services were held Thursday in St. John Cemetery, Hampden Twp.
Myers Funeral Home, Mechanicsburg, handled arrangements.
