Mae died suddenly, at age 60. On a farm a mile west of Tilden at the Tilden Wye, she had a heart attack and died in St. Clement's Hospital.
Mae had suffered the attack before she learned of the death of a brother, Harry R. McKinley, who died suddenly from an apparent heart attack Monday in Milwaukee, Wis.
According to the obit the funeral services for Harry were held in Marissa.
In addition to the details of her birth, the obit lists survivors: her husband, Russell Henderson; two daughters, Maxine, wife of Richard Pooler, and June, wife of Master Sgt. Dayton Carter; four grandchldren; a brother, Ralph McKinley; a sister, Olive, wife of Glenn Dickey.
The obit notes that a sister and a brother died in infancy and another sister, Mrs. Grace Hurshman, died last Sept. 22nd.
The obit also provides the following details of Mae's life. She was a member of the United Presbyterian Church, Tilden; a life member of the Woman's Missionary Society of the church; a member of the Prosperity Grange and the Neighborhood Club.
The obit says that funeral services were held at Tilden with the Rev. Wesley B. Walters, pastor of the United Presbyterian Church of Marissa, officiating. Burial was in the Tilden Cemetery.
