Actor/Disney Imagineer. He moved to Los Angeles, California with his family in 1935 and was a child actor who appeared in films with John Wayne, Spencer Tracy, James Cagney, Rita Hayworth and Gene Autry. In 1943, he was drafted into the U.S. Army, served in World War II and in Korea, where he earned the Distinguished Service Cross and the Bronze Star. When he returned to Los Angeles he worked with director John Ford, while attending the Chouinard Art Institute. In 1954, he began working for Walt Disney, creating sketches for Disney's new theme park. In the course of the next 32 years, he was the primary Disneyland souvenir map creator and events artwork designer. He produced sketches for all four attractions Disney built for the 1964-65, New York World's Fair. He also created souvenir maps for Disneyland, the Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World, Florida and Disneyland Paris. In 1996, he was named a Disney Legend and his artwork is displayed at the Disney Gallery.
