McKee, Sarah Bellon age 47, beloved daughter of Nancy H. McKee and Paul R. McKee, died suddenly at home on Sunday, December 29, 2013, in St. Louis County, Missouri. Sarah is survived by her parents, brothers Christopher and Jonathan, sister-in-law Linda, nieces and nephews Erin and Brendan McKee and Allison and Gregory McKee, uncle James Haar, aunts Winifred Harper and Doris McKee, cousins, and special friends Patricia Barrett and Kelly Maier. Sarah was a graduate of St. Joseph Academy in Frontenac and Saint Louis University, Magna Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa. Sarah received a Master of Arts in English Literature from The University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill, where she also completed Doctoral course work,ABD. Sarah will be remembered for her quick, creative mind, skillful writing and editing, love of poetry, original sense of humor, and compassion for others. She had a strong love of music and performed vocally with several groups. For most of her adult life, Sarah lived and worked in the Chapel Hill, North Carolina area, where she had many friends. She relocated to St. Louis early in 2013. Services: Graveside services will be held at St. Peter's Cemetery in Kirkwood. A Memorial Mass celebrating Sarah's life will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Valley Park on Friday, January 24, at 11 a.m., with visitation with family beforehand from 10 a.m. Instead of flowers, please make donations to The Women's Safe House at St. Louis (twsh.org/donations.html), Cardinal Glennon Hospital for Children, or Catholic Relief Services.
