Mrs. Lou Ella Buckner, age 91, of Kennard, passed away Thursday, February 9, 2012 in Houston. She was born January 6, 1921 in Oakgrove, Louisiana and was a resident of Kennard for the past 30 years. Mrs. Buckner was a housewife and a member of the Mount Vernon Baptist Church.
Preceded in death by parents, J. W. and Ella McGrew; three sisters and four brothers.
Funeral services for Mrs. Lou Ella Buckner will be held Sunday, February 12, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. in the Callaway-Allee Memorial Chapel. Interment will follow in the New Energy Cemetery. Family will receive friends Saturday evening 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
