The funeral for Clara McGhee Clift, 88, formerly of 701 Beverly Way, Martinsville, who died Aug. 20, 2002, at Beverly Health Care, will be held at 2 p.m. today at Norris Funeral Services chapel. The Rev. Dr. J. Stephen Perotti will officiate and burial will follow in Roselawn Burial Park.
A native of Franklin County, she was born on Oct. 26, 1913, to William Lewis McGhee and Maggie McGhee McGhee, both deceased. Also deceased are her husband, Jay Hubert Clift; four sisters, Eva M. Fleming, Estelle M. Midgett, Norene M. Corns and Edna M. Garrett; and a brother, Norman F. McGhee.
She retired from Dupont, and was a longtime member of Broad Street Christian Church.
Surviving are two sisters, Nina M. Arnold of Waynesboro and Nadine M. Bradner of Chester; and several nieces and nephews.
