Ruth Irene Johnson, 83, of Paxton passed on to her eternal life on Dec. 11, 2012, in Bourbonnais.
She was born Dec. 16, 1928 in Champaign. She was adopted by her parents, Christopher and Pearl McGauley of Paxton. She married Adrian (Nick) Johnson on Feb. 4, 1950 in Indiana. He preceded her in death on Oct. 6, 1987. A son, Timothy Johnson, and a son-in-law, Thomas Myers, also preceded her in death.
She is survived by two children, Gail Myers and Jerry (Nancy) Johnson; two grandchildren, Eric (Raquel) Myers and Kathy (Mark) Anderson; four great-grandchildren, Paul and Emma Myers and Ethan and Hannah Anderson; two step-grandchildren, Natalie (Scott) Manke and Travis Dulany; four step-great-grandchildren, Hope, Chase, Faith and Matthew Manke; a brother, Paul McGauley and a sister, Mary Weidner.
