(Note: Consider McPhetridge as an alternate spelling for McFatridge.)
One of the saddest events that ever came under the observation of our people was the triple funeral of three little children, Gideon McFatridge, Louis Snodgrass and Florence Hite, on last Monday at two o'clock PM. The three white, flower-covered caskets were borne to the Baptist Church by twelve little girls, preceded by the M. E. minister. Rev. Charlton, followed by the three stricken families, relatives and friends, was indeed a very pathetic scene. Mrs. Braxton had charge of the music and the first selection was "It Is Well with My Soul." Rev. Charlton, assisted by Revs. A. C. Trusty and William Miller, conducted the funeral rites. The text from Rev. Chariton preached was, "Is it well with the child?"
The remains were taken to the Chambersville Cemetery and laid to rest.
