Lillian J. McFarland (nee Kosub), beloved sister, mother and grandmother, quietly passed away at Hickory House Nursing Home in Honey Brook, on Monday, Aug. 30, 2010, at the age of 90.
Born in the small farming community of Adkins, Texas, on Jan. 18, 1920, she was the daughter of the late Louis and Sallie Kosub.
Lillian traveled the world as a military wife for 26 years before retiring in San Antonio, Texas. She lived and visited in many countries such as Japan, France, Germany, Switzerland, Holland, Italy and Belgium.
Lillian loved fashion, sewing and entertaining.
Lillian is survived by her son, Michael McFarland and his wife, Patricia, of Downingtown; daughter, Debra Goertz and her husband, Charlie, of Brooklyn, N.Y.; sister, Virginia Rolston of San Antonio, Texas; brother, Hubert Kosub and his wife, Dorothy, of Adkins, Texas; as well as grandchildren, Jason Goertz of Chicago, Katie Ciammetti and her husband, Chris, of West Chester, and Christopher McFarland of Downingtown. She is also remembered by her many friends around the country and those at Hickory House.
Arrangements are being handled by James J. Terry Funeral Home, Downingtown.
Services will be conducted at Sunset Memorial Park in San Antonio, Texas, on a date to be determined.
