Birth: Mar. 27, 1832
Death: Apr. 6, 1906

His father's name was William (b. 1792).

Doctor married (1) Miss Mary L. Jacobs (1837-1856) on Aug. 3, 1854 in Gibson Co., IN.

He married (2) Miss Mary Jane Nichols Wallingsford (1837-1916) on Aug. 18, 1857. Together they had the following children:

William J. (b. 1857)
Wyatt Marshel (b. Dec. 21, 1858)
Almarine C. (1863-1957)
Mary E. (b. @1866)

D.F. was drafted into army service with Co. C, 38th Indiana Infantry on Oct. 4, 1864. He mustered out June 26, 1865.

He was not a medical doctor or any other type of doctor in any profession. He was a farmer. He earned the name "Doctor" because he was the seventh son of a seventh son, and the old adage went that one would grow up to become a physician if one happened to be the seventh son of a seventh son.
