IDA E. DAVIS OF WALLACE EXPIRES
Wallace, Aug. 19 -- Mrs. Ida E. Davis, 75, who lived her entire life in the Wallace community, died at her home near here at 7 o'clock Monday night. She had been an invalid for several years. Death was the result of a heart attack.
Mrs. Davis was born October 24, 1871 near Wallace and was the daughter of Matthew and Mary Ann Parks McElwee. She was married to John H. Davis at Wallace on January 16, 1902.
The deceased was a member of the Freedom church near here, the Order of Eastern Star at Wallace and the Daughters of Union Veterans at Kingman.
Surviving besides her husband are a daughter, Mrs. Bon Thomas of Grange Corner; two brothers, Oscar McElwee of Kingman and Albert McElwee of Veedersburg, and three grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Thursday afternoon at the Lutheran church near Wallace with Rev. John Servies in charge. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
