LEAKESVILLE WOMAN DIED IN PROVIDENCE INFIRMARY, MOBILE
Last Saturday, a.m., April 4th the people of Leakesville were deeply grieved when the message arrived announcing the death of Mrs. J. A. Ball who had passed away at Providence Infirmary, Mobile, Ala., at 10:25 o'clock.
She, as Miss Kate McEachern, was married to Mr. J. A. Ball, seven years ago, and came to Leakesville to make her home, where she soon became an active worker in the church and social life of the community.
She was a member of the Baptist church, the Three Arts Club, leader of the W. M. C. Central Circle and pianist for the Sunbeam Band, all to mourn her loss.
She leaves beside her husband, three lovely little children, James A., 6 years, Dyal, 4 years, and Barbara, 2 years old, four brothers, C. C. and R. F. McEachern of Campville, Fla., D. W. McEachern of Smackover, Ark., and J. K. McEachern of Waynesboro, Miss; six sisters, Mesdames C. E. Jones, Laurel Hill, Fla., S. L. Drane, Jacksonville, Fla., R. E. Youman, Pembroke, Ga., Murdoc Walley, Sand Hill, E. P. Walley, Piave, and E. G. Padgette, Ft. Worth, Texas; all of her sisters except Mrs. Padgette and brothers R. F. and D. W. came to attend her funeral.
Very impressive funeral services were conducted by Rev. W. E. Stewart, pastor of the Baptist church, assisted by Rev. Loudenslager, and Rev. R. M. Dickson, Methodist and Presbyterian ministers.....
