Charlotte McDonald Piner died Saturday, May 8, 2010, at Hopewell Health Care Center from complications of Alzheimers Disease. She was the daughter of the late Ellen and Ben McDonald of Hopewell. She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Frank Piner of Prince George, and her daughters, Penny Piner of Prince George and Frankie and her husband, Tommy Williams of Chester. She is also survived by a grandson, Brett Williams and his wife, Sarah of Atlanta, GA; sisters, Marjorie Adams of Richmond, Faye Westfall and husband, Jimmy, Lovdie Kreynus and husband, Johnny, and Jackie Bentzoni all of Hopewell, Betty Vaughan and husband, Charlie of Portsmouth, Allene Harris and husband, Mike of Chester; sister-in-law, Grace McDonald, as well as many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a sister, Louise Laws and brothers, Grover, Bob, Benny and Gene McDonald. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 pm Tuesday, May 11th, at the Hopewell Chapel of J. T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home & Cremation Service. A graveside funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 am Wednesday at Appomattox Cemetery, Hopewell, with Rev. Jeff Butler, Pastor of Woodlawn Presbyterian Church, officiating. The family expresses sincere appreciation to the staff of Hopewell Health Care Center for their kindness and caring for the past four years.
