Mary Julia Barnett, 56, of Chatham died Friday, June 10, 2005, at St. John's Hospital. She was born Feb. 27, 1949, in Springfield, the daughter of Norman and Vanetta Chapman McDonald. She married Roy Barnett in 1977.
Mrs. Barnett graduated from Ursuline Academy and St. John's School of Nursing. She retired as a registered nurse at St. John's Hospital. She was a member of Springfield Ostomy Club and Springfield Chapter of the Orchid Society.
Survivors: husband, Roy; four daughters, Cora J. Logsdon, Emily L. Barnett, Tamera Winner and Michelle Duek.; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; mother, Vanetta Miller of Leesburg, Fla.; sister, Teresa Pierce; two brothers, Norman J. McDonald and Richard A. McDonald of Girard.
Cremation rites will be accorded by Cremation Services of Central Illinois, Chatham. Private memorial services: Staab Polk Memorial Home, Chatham.
