|Death: ||May 24, 1950|
Anna is probably the same child (Mary McCune) in the Ohio Birth Records as born on April 25, 1876. I suspect that Anna's name was actually MaryAnn (Anna) Winifred McCune
Anna's first marriage was to George Laban Custer. They were married in Urbana, Ohio on April 28, 1910. The 1910 Census shows that at that time she was living with her sister Catherine McCune Lyden and the Lyden family.
The obituary in the Seattle Daily Times wrote on 5/26/1950:
"MRS. GEORGE HOLMES" Rosary for Mrs. Anna M. Holmes, 73 years old, 4313 Francis Av., will be said at 8 o'clock tonight and Requiem Mass will be said at 11 o'clock tomorrow, both in St. Benedict's Church. Burial will be Calvary, directed by the Fisher-Kalfus Funeral Home.
Mrs. Holmes, born in Urbana, Ohio, had lived in Seattle 30 years. She was the widow of George E. Holmes. She was a charter member of the Washington Protective Association of the Blind.
Surviving is a brother, J.S. McCune, Los Angeles.
