Anna is probably the same child (Mary McCune) in the Ohio Birth Records as born on April 25, 1876. I suspect that Anna's name was actually Anna Mary (Annie) Winifred McCune.

Published in the Urbana Daily Times Citizen on September 17, 1906: Miss Annie McCune is in the city from Chicago, visiting her sister, Mrs. John Lyden in Mosgrove Street, and other relatives.

Anna's first marriage was to George Laban Custer. They were married in Urbana, Ohio on April 28, 1910. The Champaign Democrat for May 5, 1910 announced: Miss Anna McCune and Mr. George Custer were united in marriage on Thursday morning by Rev. Father Hickey of St. Mary's Church. The young couple went to Cincinnati on a short wedding trip, when they return they will make Urbana their home. Both Mr. an Mrs. Custer have many friends here who will wish them a very happy married life.
The 1910 Census shows that at that time Anna was living with her sister Catherine McCune Lyden and the Lyden family.
Ten year later, the 1920 census list Mrs. George Custer as widowed. At the time she is living with Mary McCune Murphey, Mr. Walter Murphey, and the Murphey children (Anna and Ray).
The obituary in the Seattle Daily Times wrote on 5/26/1950:
"MRS. GEORGE HOLMES" Rosary for Mrs. Anna M. Holmes, 73 years old, 4313 Francis Av., will be said at 8 o'clock tonight and Requiem Mass will be said at 11 o'clock tomorrow, both in St. Benedict's Church. Burial will be Calvary, directed by the Fisher-Kalfus Funeral Home.
Mrs. Holmes, born in Urbana, Ohio, had lived in Seattle 30 years. She was the widow of George E. Holmes. She was a charter member of the Washington Protective Association of the Blind.
Surviving is a brother, J.S. McCune, Los Angeles.
