Lady Banker Dies
Mrs. E A Enochs, 78

Mrs. E A Enochs, vice-president of the Bank of Houston, Bank of Vardaman, and Bank of Houlka, died at the Houston Hospital at 6:30 am, Tuesday following a six-week illness. She was 78.

Funeral services were conducted at 3 pm, Wednesday, from the Houston First Methodist Church with the Rev. Howard Hathorn and the Rev. Ben Goodwin officiating. Interment was in the Houston Cemetery with Houston Funeral Home in charge.

Pallbearers were Wallace Norman, Bobby Pearson, Jim Hugh Tabb, Harrison Upshaw, Paul Moore and J R McCord.

She was the former Lottie McCullough, daughter of the late Millard Filmore McCullough and Virginia Walton McCullough.

She and Mr. Enochs had been wed 57 years.

Mrs. Enochs was born in Chickasaw county on June 5, 1892. She was a member of the Houston First Methodist Church.

She had been long active and identified with the continued progress of the Bank.

She is survived by her husband, E A Enochs of Houston; two daughters, Mrs. Frank Hamilton of Memphis and Mrs. Frances E Jessup of Houston; a granddaughter, Mrs. Bobby Mooneyham of Houston and one great grandchild.
