Sandra Lee Lucas, 59, of Cottageville, departed this life March 20, 2006, at her home.
She was born Jan. 22, 1947, in Charleston, a daughter of Ruth A. (Nichols) McCue and the late Leon R. "Kick" McCue.
She was a former clerk for ten years for Hunt and Anderson General Store in Cottageville, and three years for Fast Freddy's in Millwood. She was a past Matron of Cottageville Chapter #16, Order of the Eastern Star, and was a member of the Cottageville United Methodist Church, where she sang in the choir and taught Sunday school.
In addition to her mother, other survivors include her husband, James Ward Lucas; son and his wife, John Russell and Michelle Lucas of Cocoa, Fla.; daughter and her husband, Shelly and Robert Batten of Cottageville; brother, Gary W. "Butch" McCue of Cottageville; sister and her husband, Angela Beth and David Waybright of Gay; and grandchildren, Amber, James "J.J.", Colby, and Abbigale.
Service will be 1 p.m. Thursday, March 23, at Casto Funeral Home, Ravenswood, with the Rev. Mark Price and the Rev. Gerald B. Sayre officiating. Entombment will follow in Jackson County Memory Gardens Mausoleum. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home followed by an Eastern Star service at 8 p.m.
