Former Washakie County resident, Myrtle Mabel Bott died on Friday, April 4, 2014 in West Valley City, Utah. She was 86 years old.

Myrtle was born on July 30, 1927 in Ten Sleep to Zina Z. and Anna May (Miller) McCreery, the last of 11 children. She was raised in the Ten Sleep area and graduated from Ten Sleep High School.

Myrtle and Edward Bott were married on May 2, 1946 in Billings, Montana and to this union four children were born: Glenda May Bott, Thomas Zina Bott, Stuart Edward Bott and Andrea Renee Bott.

The family had lived in Wyoming and Colorado where they raised their family. After the death of her husband, she moved to the Salt Lake City, Utah area. She was a person who really loved animals and cared for them with the same passion as she cared for her family members. She liked to read and listen to music.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ed; her daughter, Glenda; her son, Tom; and by all of her brothers and sisters.

Myrtle is survived by her daughter, Andrea (Dean Morrell) Pearson of West Valley City; her son, Stuart E. (Mary Ellen) Bott of St. George, Utah; five grandchildren; six step-grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one step-great-grandchild; six great-great-grandchildren; and by numerous nieces and nephews.
