Nora Johnson McCoy (born Susannah Lenore) was raised in Floyd County, Kentucky, and a distant relative to local legend "Bad John" Hall. She would marry into an even more famous legendary family, the McCoys who had their feud with the Hatfields. She and her husband moved from Pike County, Kentucky during WWII to Maryland, where she would live most of the rest of her life. She died in Ohio while staying with her son, Robert.
