Sharon Greenhill McCoy, age 59, of Olive Hill, Ky., passed away Wednesday morning, November 13, 2013, at Kingsbrook Life Care Center in Ashland, Kentucky.
She was born March 18, 1954, in Carter County, Ky., a daughter of the late Earl and Cora Maggard Greenhill.
Sharon attended the Olive Hill Nazarene Church and was a retired State Registered Nursing Assistant having worked at Carter Nursing and Rehabilitation Center and Kingsbrook Life Care Center. She enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren and taking care of her husband, Lonnie.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, Lonnie Gene McCoy, two daughters, Michelle Lynn McCoy and Carmaleta Ann McCoy, and one brother, Lavonne Marvin "Von" Greenhill.
Sharon is survived by two sons and a daughter-in-law, Lonnie Gene Jr., and Clara McCoy and Jonathan L. McCoy all of Olive Hill, Ky., five grandchildren, Tiffany McCoy, Tabitha McCoy, Timothy McCoy, Stacie McCoy, and Crystal Gail McCoy, one brother, Johnny Greenhill of Lexington, Ky., and six sisters and a brother-in-law, Mary and Carl Fredericks of Cincinnati, OH., Linda Greenhill, Brenda Greenhill, and Karen Greenhill, all of Morehead, Ky., Patricia Greenhill of Olive Hill, Ky., and Debbie Coons of Ashland, Ky. She also leaves many other family members and friends who will sadly mourn her passing.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, November 16, 2013, at Globe Funeral Chapel in Olive Hill, Ky., Burial will follow in the McFerren Cemetery in Olive Hill, Kentucky.
