Mrs. Hanners died Tuesday, May 1, 2007, at Decatur General Hospital. She was born May 1, 1942, in Cullman County to Lonnie Lee McCormick and Alice Fronia George McCormick.
She was a member of New Center Baptist Church and a retired nurse from the Morgan County Health Department. She was a very loving wife, mother and grandmother who loved her granddaughter with all of her heart. She loved to cook, do things for others and listen to gospel music.
She is survived by her husband, Franklin Hanners of Hartselle; a son, Felton Hanners and wife Pam of Hartselle; a brother, Harold McCormick and wife Gale of Hartselle; and a granddaughter, Nina Hanners.
Pallbearers were Von Yeager, Gerald Yeager, Ricky Tolbert, Tim McCormick, Donnie Teeples and Gary Lindsey.
Honorary pallbearers were Marvin Nuby Jr. and James Brock.
