Mrs. Nina Barnett age 80, of Mt.Vernon passed away Wednesday November 18th, 2015 at the Berea Health & Rehab Center. She was born on May 27th, 1935 in Rockcastle County the daughter of the late John S. and Corene Bell McClure. She was a housewife, enjoyed gardening, cooking, sewing, spending time with her grandchildren, and was a member of the Central Baptist Church.
Survivors are: six sons; David Barnett of Pulaski County, James Calvin, John Randall, and Seymore Barnett all of Mt.Vernon, Terry Lee Barnett of Brodhead, and Eddie Barnett also of Mt.Vernon. Two daughters; Nina Frances Price of Science Hill, and Connie Hasty of Mt.Vernon. Twenty-Three grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren, and many nieces & nephews also survive. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband; Calvin K. Barnett, by one son; Calvin Barnett Jr., by three brothers; Lloyd, James, and Sherman McClure, and by two sisters; Sue Carroll, and Wanda Faye.
Pallbearers will be Mrs. Barnett's grandsons.
