Juanita McClure, 84, of Sellersburg, died Saturday, Oct. 22, 2005.
She was born May 21, 1921, in Nacogdoches, Texas, the daughter of Dueward and Frances. She was a former Madison resident, where her late husband, Chester F. McClure, was a doctor at Madison State Hospital for several years. She taught English and drama at Eastern High School in Middletown, and in Iowa. She was a free-lance writer for many newspapers and produced a 1990 award-winning series on Public Access TV in Michigan City.
Surviving are one daughter, Louanda Kynhoff of Sellersburg; and one granddaughter.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and one son, Kent S. McClure.
A memorial service will be held at 6:30 p.m. EDT today at the Garr Funeral Home in Sellersburg, with visitation beginning at 6 p.m. EDT.
Visitation also will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. EDT Friday at the Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Home in Anderson, with a memorial service starting at 11 a.m. Burial will be in Anderson Memorial Gardens.
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Graceland Baptist Church Children’s Wing, New Albany.
