Mrs. Bessie Elizabeth Brown, 52, died at 4 a.m. Monday at her home 981 Mill Street. She had been in failing health for four years.
A resident of Wabash 20 years, Mrs. Brown was born March 28, 1907 in Bedford, Ky., to Charles and Addie (Nichols) McClure and was married Jan. 31, 1921 in Bedford to Hurley Brown, who survives. She was a member of the Christian Church in Bedord, Ky.
Surviving with the husband are a son, Glenford Brown, Mexico; two daughters, Mrs. John (Jean) Brown[?], Wabash, and Mrs. Donald (Sylvia) Brown[?], Mt. Vernon, O.; two brothers, Emmett McClure and William McClure, both of Madison, and 11 grandchildren. One brother preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Eddingfield Chapel with Dr. W.W. Wimberly officiating. Burial will be in Falls Cemetery. Friends may call at the Eddingfield Mortuary after 1 p.m. Tuesday.
