Mrs. Ross Lower, Fort Wayne, a daughter-in-law, had been assisting in the care of the decedent for several weeks.

Mrs. Lower was born in Goshen Oct. 23, 1877 and came to Wabash when a child. She went through the city schools and was graduated from Wabash High School. For seven years after that she taught the primary grades in the Wabash schools and in a country school called the Prairie school. She served as attendance officer for the Wabash city schools for 18 years and as an investigator for the Noble township trustee's office during the thirties. Mrs. Lower was secretary of the Wabash County unit of the Red Cross for about 25 years and at one time several years ago was a member of the board of Associated Charities. She was a former member of the Eastern Star and a member of the Altrusa Club for many years. She was highly regarded by the residents of Wabash for her untiring services in each of her capacities.
