KINGS MOUNTAIN — Mrs. Mary Frances Curry Brooks, 65, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, Feb. 3, 2007, at Hospice of Cleveland County.
Born April 24, 1941, she was the daughter of the late Mason Curry and Lillie B. McCluney.
She was also preceded in death by a brother, Mason Curry Jr., and brothers-in-law, Johnny B. Freeman, Richard Adams and Charlie Moore.
She leaves to cherish fond memories her loving husband, Carl L. Brooks; her loving mother-in-law, Janie Brooks; three daughters, Carla A. Curry (Chris) and Valerie B. Curry, both of Kings Mountain, and Treni V. Curry (Alvin) of Grover; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; four sisters, Virginia Freeman and Evelyn Adams of Gastonia and Jessie Moore and Mattie Adams (Lawrence) of Kings Mountain; four brothers, Lewis Curry (Rebecca) of Kings Mountain, Eugene Curry (Mary) of Grover, and Robert Curry (Peggy) and Raymond Curry, both of Gastonia; three aunts, Maci Patterson of Gastonia and Sadie Reid and Mary Lee Parker of Kings Mountain; and a host of nieces, nephews and in-laws.
