Blanche Shirley McCloy, 67, of Scottdale, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday morning, July 29, 2008, in Excela Health Frick Hospital, Mt. Pleasant. She was born in Mt. Pleasant, a daughter of the late Marshall White Sr. and Alta Wilfong White. Blanche was employed as a nurse's aide at Westmoreland Manor, Greensburg, with 15 years of service. She was a former member of the Democratic Club of Everson and was the president of the Scottdale Manor High Rise, where she resided. Blanche was an avid bingo player. She was a loving mother, grandmother and sister to her family. Blanche leaves to cherish her memories her loving and devoted children, James P. Mc Cloy and his wife, Carmel, of Greensburg, Kimberly J. Molitor and her husband, William, of Front Royal, Va., and Sharon M. Flynn and Mark Pletcher, of Connellsville; two sisters, Alice Guariglia and her husband, Tony, of Scottdale, and Anna Hunchuck, of Mt. Pleasant; 15 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and her pet bird, Princess. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James D. Mc Cloy, on Nov. 5, 1987; brothers, Ira White, David McCord, Lloyd McCord, Lillian Farris, Marshall White Jr. and Paul Ray McCord; and sisters, Anna Mae McCord, Genevieve Montgomery, Pauline Keener and Magdalene McCord. Blanche's family will greet friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday in the FRANK KAPR FUNERAL HOME INC., 417 W. Pittsburgh St., Scottdale, where her funeral service will begin at 10 a.m. Friday with the Rev. Ralph Mostoller officiating. Committal services and interment will follow in Mt. Lebanon Cemetery, Tarrs. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorials be made to the donor's choice in memory of Blanche McCloy.
