Scott McClendon, of Lufkin, passed away Sunday at his residence.

He loved motorcycles, cars, and anything with wheels. He enjoyed building bicycles and model cars, and was an excellent artist and did pencil sketches. Scott played football while in school in Corrigan. He suffered injuries from an automobile accident twenty four years ago. He was a member of the Lufkin Family Worship Center.

Survivors include his mother and stepfather, Karen and Norman Want; father and stepmother, Greg and Shirley McClendon; sisters and brothers-in-law, Brandi and Marty Young and Leia and Frank Lopez; step-sisters, Deborah Ruyle and husband Danny and Lisa Sundy; step-brother, Charles Sundy and wife Carla; paternal grandmother, Ethel McClendon; maternal grandmother, Bobbie Bullock; step-grandmother, Mary Horn; great-grandmother, Opal Waits; nieces and nephews, Ali McClendon, Tommy Young, Greg Rowe, Caleb Young, Celeste Young, Haley, Alana, Anessa and Marissa Lopez, special friend and caretaker, Paula Bryant; and a number of aunts, uncles, cousins, other family members and friends.

Scott was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, L.J. McClendon; maternal grandfather, Henry Doyle Bullock; uncles, Ronnie McClendon, Ikey Bullock and Shannon Bullock; aunt, Necy Bullock; and very special friend and dedicated pastor, Brother Jerry Lee Mashburn.

Services in the Gipson Funeral Home Chapel, with Brother Norman Want and Brother Steve Hammond officiating. Eulogy will be offered by Brandi Young. Interment in the Garden of Memories Memorial Park. Gipson Funeral Home, directors.
