ANDERSON, Ellen M. McCLELLAND - Miss Ellen M. McClelland, the subject of this sketch, was born in Wisconsin, Aug. 24, 1855 and died at her home in this city, Feb. 20, 1906. Nov. 12, 1882 she was untied in marriage to A.H. Anderson. God blessed this union with five sons and two daughters, four of whom are left to mourn the loss of a loving, devoted mother. In childhood she united with the Congregational church in which she lived until her marriage then she went with her husband into the Presbyterian church, where she lived until God called her. She was a great sufferer for several years but was always patient and cheerful and seemed resigned to the will of the Heavenly Father. Her funeral was conducted by Reverend L.F. Goodwin in the presence of a large crowd of sorrowing friends, after which her body was laid to rest in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery, there to await the resurrection of the just. A Friends. A heart of gold stopped beating, two willing Hands at rest, God broke our hearts to prove To us He only takes the best. May you find peace in the arms of Jesus
