Kathaleen J. McClanahan Boore, of Carl Junction, Mo., died Wednesday, Jan. 21, 2015.
Kathaleen was born near Alba, Mo., on Oct. 30, 1929.
Kathaleen married Floyd Keith Boore, on Aug. 6, 1951.
She was a Christian and an active member of New Hope United Methodist Church.
She was a homemaker, and a teacher at Sarcoxie, Waynesville, and Joplin. She also taught adult education and literacy classes.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Roy C. McClanahan and Lela R. McClanahan; and her husband, Floyd Keith Boore.
She is survived by her three daughters, Beth Stephens, Jill (Dave) Smith, and Amy Boore; her four grandchildren, Alison (Ben) Wilkins, Dan (Maire) Schultz, Andrea Stephens, and David Schultz; her two great-grandchildren, Lydia Wilkins and Eamon Wilkins; and her sister, Dr. Charleen L. Varner.
Funeral services will be Monday, Jan. 26, 2015, at 10 a.m. at Parker Mortuary Chapel, with Randy Steele and Bob Simon officiating.
Interment will follow in Friends Cemetery, Purcell, Mo. The family will receive friends at Parker Mortuary on Sunday from 2 to 3 p.m.
The family request that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to her church, New Hope United Methodist Church.
