The Midlothian Mirror (TX) June 21, 2007 > God has called another angel home, On June 4, 2007, with the passing of Lena Mae "Teena" (McCarty) Alsup, our family lost a mother, granny and friend. Teena went home to join her husband L. B. Alsup and son Mike, after a lengthy battle with cancer. She was born January 10, 1936 to Tom and Lena Lonita McCarty and passed away in her home surrounded by her loving family. Her memory will be cherished by her three daughters and their husbands; Tammi and Keith Baxter, Melissa Doskocil and Denise and Doug Woods, all of Midlothian. Granny will be deeply missed by her six grandchildren, Josh Baxter and wife Erica, Joey Baxter, Katie Baxter, Brooke Doskocil, Ashley Doskocil and husband Brock Carter, and Ben Woods. Two great grandchildren, Braden Baxter and Grace Yarbro-Baxter, will also miss Granny. Teena is also survived by four sisters, Eva Joe Vinson, Glenda Simmons, Mary Taraba and Martha Carbajal. Visitation was from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, June 6, at Midlothian Funeral Home. Graveside services and burial were at 10 a.m. Thursday, June 7, 2007 at Midlothian Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Midlothian Funeral Home, funeral director W. Randy Hampton, 200 E. Avenue E, P. O. Box 1210, Midlothian, TX. 76065 (972) 723-9884.
