Heart Disease Fatal To Mrs. Mary A. Happ
Mrs. Mary Ann Happ, widow of the late William Happ, a pioneer of this section, died suddenly yesterday at her home in Pacific Grove. She was a native of New York, aged 87, and was the stepmother of late Gus Happ, former member of the Salinas police force.
Deputy Coroner H. W. Collins, Who was called to Pacific Grove to investigate, found that the aged woman was a victim of' valvular heart disease, and that an inquest was unŽnecessary.
Mrs. Happ is survived by two sons, William V. Happ of Monterey, and Urban S. Happ of San Francisco; two daughters, Sister Mary Columbus of a Grass Valley convent and Sister Mary De La Solette of Notre Dame in Santa Clara; a sister, Mrs. Kate Mayer of Oakland, and another, residing in Chicago.
Funeral services will be held toŽmorrow, at 9:15 o'clock from FreeŽman's undertaking parlors and from San Carlos church at 9:30 o'clock.
