"Uncle Jack", age 81, of Lockport, passed away Monday, August 12, 2013 surrounded by his loving family.

He was a United States Navy Veteran. Jack was self-employed as co-owner of B & B Masonry for 50 years, a retired Sergeant from the Lockport Police Department in 1983 and was Chief of Lockport Park District Police from 1983 to 1992.

A member of St. Joseph Church, Joliet, 50+ year member of Brick Layers Union Local #74, Lockport Moose Lodge #1557, Lockport American Legion John Olson Post #18, former member of Lockport VFW Post #5788 and was currently a board member of the Lockport Cemetery Association.

Jack led a full and happy life. He considered Lockport God's Country and he enjoyed going to the OTB at Iron Horse Saloon, Lockport Moose Lodge, Norma's Café every Saturday and spending the winter in Florida with his loving wife. He loved being surrounded by his family and friends.

He is survived by his three loving daughters, Pam (Mark) Frontera of Lockport, Sarah (Jeff) Mormann of Minooka and Jackie (Mohamed Belkhayat) McCarthy of Annandale, VA; nine cherished grandchildren Anthony (Morgan) and Nick Frontera, Jason, Becky and Meghan Mormann, Noah, Nora, Zane and Zak Belkhayat; twin sister Noreen Piazza; brother-in-law Dick (Barb) Cronholm and sister-in-law Delores Cronholm. Numerous nieces, nephews and many dear friends also survive.

Preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Barbara (Cronholm) in 2010; parents James and Hannah (Callaghan); a brother Bill; sisters Eileen Lauer and Rita Kesich and a brother-in-law Russ Cronholm.

Visitation: Thursday, 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Funeral services: Friday, 9:15 a.m. at the O'Neil Funeral Home Chapel, 1105 E. 9th Street, Lockport, to St. Joseph Church, Joliet for mass at 10:00 a.m.
