Mrs. Perle M Berger, 86, a resident of Rock Haven the past four years, died Monday in Mercy Hospital. Born April 30, 1893, in Janesville, the former Perle McCarthy married William H Berger here on October 22, 1913. Mr. Berger died December 4, 1964.
Mrs. Berger, a member of the St. Peter's Lutheran Church, had worked for Janesville Cotton Mills and City Cab. Surviving are two sons, Ronald of Dryden, MI and Richard of South Milwaukee; two daughters, Mrs. Joan (Keith) Long of Milford, UT, and Mrs. Jacqueline (Allan) Behling of Evansville; 16 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; two sisters Miss Vivian McCarthy and Mrs. Charles Balas, both of Janesville; and a stepbrother, Otto Buggs of Janesville. Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in St. Peter's Lutheran Church. There will be no visitation. Memorials maybe made to the church. Contributor: John Berger (50930954)
