-- CHESTER - The funeral for Mrs. Fannie Mae McCants Black, formerly of 730 Celsey Road, will be conducted at 2 p.m. today, Friday, Aug. 1, at Barron Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Dale Welch will officiate and burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery.

Mrs. Black, 91, died Wednesday, July 30, 2008, at Chester Regional Nursing Center.

Born in Chester County on July 12, 1917, she was a daughter of the late Paul L. and Katie M. Revels McCants. Mrs. Black attended school in Chester County and was retired from Springs Industries. She was also a charter member of Parkway Baptist Church.

Survivors include a daughter, Jeanelle Foster and her husband, Wayne, of Chester; nine grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Hiram McCants of Chester.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Millard F. Black; and a son, Earl Black.

Memorials may be made to Disaster Relief, Chester Baptist Association, P.O. Box 219, Richburg, SC 29729.
