According to the Census 1880 Texas Cass Precinct 1 010 (taken July 26th, 1880), Lemuel and Dora McCann had a son and daughter, both 3/12 years of age (twins presumably). The names are transcribed as Palistoni and Allistin. I suspect the boy's name is Palistine and the girl's is Allistine. A rhyme seems likely in twins.
Lemuel was listed as 'Farm Laborer' and Dora as 'Keeping House'. Lemuel and Dora listed both their birth places as Georgia and same with their parents. The children are listed as being born in Texas.
They lived near Sarah Erambert and Catherine Carter, & William and Caroline Erambert.
I suspect that Allie is this daughter. (LBS)
