STONEHAM, Pa. — Dorothy M. Heeter, 55, of Fullerton Road, died at 7:15 p.m. Friday (May 10, 2002) in Kane Community Hospital. She was born Oct. 11, 1946, in Kane, the daughter of the late William C. and Nora B. Baun McCandless. She had been employed as a nurse's aide and was a member of the Sheffield United Methodist Church. She is survived by her husband, Alfred J. Heeter, whom she married April 12, 1980, in Barnes, Pa.; a son, Mark Hilliard; a daughter, Heidi Heeter; two stepgrandchildren; three sisters: Ruth Camp of Port Orange, Fla., Burdetta Miller of Caycie, S.C., and Vicky Bliss of Kane; and two brothers: William McCandless of New Castle, Pa., and James McCandless of St. Marys, Pa. The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the Borden-Lloyd Funeral Home, Sheffield. The Rev. Jack Winger, pastor of Clarendon United Methodist Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Sheffield Cemetery. Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. today and for one hour prior to the service in the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Sheffield or Clarendon Volunteer Fire Department Ambulance Services or Hospice of Warren County.
