31 Oct 2006: Kim I. (McCandless) Dixon, 50, died Sunday, October 29, 2006, at York Hospital. She was the wife of David J. Dixon, with whom she celebrated a 15th wedding anniversary August 31st. Funeral Friday, November 3, at Geiple Funeral Home, Glen Rock, Rev. James E. Ward, pastor of Faith Fellowship of York County, officiating. Burial in Jefferson Cemetery. Born in York December 8, 1955, Kim was a daughter of Irene M. (Bonawitz) McCandless of Spring Grove, and David M. McCandless and his wife, Beverly of York. She graduated in the class of 1973 from York County Vocational Technical School and was employed as a Medical Assistant at Wheatland Family Medicine in Manchester for the past year. She had lived in Fort Myers, FL, until moving back to York a year ago. Besides her husband and parents, she leaves two children, David J. Dixon, Jr., and Erin C. Dixon, both of York; and four brothers, Dale M. McCandless of York, Michael D. McCandless of Mt. Wolf, Douglas L. McCandless of Cape Coral, Fla., and Gary E. McCandless of Seven Valleys.
