McCALL, Harry J. Sr. 83, died peacefully in the comfort of his family on Sunday June 6, 2010. He was born in Boston on October 18, 1926 the son of the late George E. and Gladys (Campbell) McCall. He is survived by his wife Mary June (Milley) McCall of York, Maine formerly of Wayland. Father of Robert J. McCall and his wife Kathleen, Harry J. McCall, Jr. and his wife Dorothy and Brian D. McCall and his wife Karen all of Natick. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren, one niece and 3 nephews. He was the brother of the late Marjorie Stacey; John E. McCall and Georgina Sodervick. Mr. McCall had resided in Wayland for many years and retired to York, Maine 10 years ago. He spent his formative years in Allston and was a graduate of Brighton High School. He served his country proudly during World War II with the United States Marine Corp. and remained in the U.S. Marine Reserves until 1950. He was a former 3rd Degree Mason of the Middlesex Lodge and was associated for many years with the Boy Scouts of America as the Treasurer of Troop 1 in Allston. He was a great husband, father, grandfather and uncle to his family and will be greatly missed by them. Visitations will be held on Wednesday, June 9, 2010 from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at the John C. Bryant Funeral Home, 56 Pemberton Road (Off Rte 30), WAYLAND. His funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 10, 2010 at 10:00 am at the Community United Methodist Church, 5 Damon Street, Wayland followed by burial at Mount Auburn Cemetery in Cambridge. In lieu of flowers, his family suggests memorial gifts in his memory may be sent to Veterans Administration, 103 Liberty Street, Manchester, NH 03104 or the National Brain Tumor Society, East Coast Office, 124 Watertown Street, Suite 2D, Watertown, MA 02472.
