Boydie and Ida were married in a quiet wedding on a Saturday. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. V. R. Thompson, pastor of the Methodist Church. The Bride grew to young womanhood in and near Edna and was held in high esteem by her many acquaintances. For several months before her marriage she held the position of saleslady at the McGee Department Store. The Groom was said to be an industrious young man of excellent habits. After a trip to Missouri to visit friends, the couple made their home in Coffeyville, Kansas. Before her wedding, a shower was given for Ida by Mrs. N. E. (Mary) McKee of Edna. While in Coffeyville, the Hokes operated a small business and Mrs. Hoke was active in the Ladies' Farm Bureau Club of West Coffeyville where she served as a sewing and clothing instructor. After moving with her family to Portland, Oregon, Ida became a member of the Roseway Presbyterian Church.
