He is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Inez Nalley, two adopted sons, Eugene H. Brooks McBride and Paul Gaither; one sister, Mrs. Charlotte Turner of Locust Valley, eleven grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
The funeral service took place Tuesday afternoon from the Brunswick Church of God of which the deceased was a charter member in which he served as elder. Interment was in the Locust Valley cemetery near Burkittsville.
Mr. McBride was a veteran of the Civil War and was a member of the Ku Klux KIan of Brunswick.
Many floral emblems were presented for the funeral. O.H. Feete and Son were the funeral directors.
