Mary Elizabeth McBee, age 83, of Berkeley Springs, WV, died Monday, September 2, 2013 at Winchester Medical Center in Winchester, VA.

Born March 19, 1930 in Morgan County, WV, she was the daughter of the William Carl and Theresa Helen Aulabaugh Swaim.

She attended Trinity-Asbury United Methodist Church. She attended West Branch School and Annex School in Berkeley Springs. Mary worked at Interwoven Hosiery Mill and a seasonal worker at local canneries in Berkeley Springs and was a homemaker most of her life. She was a member AARP.

Mary is survived by her husband of 65 years, Clarence Edward McBee at home, two sons, Edward Lee McBee and wife, Shirley of Front Royal, VA, Dale William McBee and wife, Miyoko of Fairfax, VA, one daughter, Penny Suzanne Long and husband, Eugene of Hedgesville, one sister, Eileen Fern Clark of Berkeley Springs, many grandchildren and great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Tony Lynn McBee.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, September 6, 2013 at Helsley-Johnson Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 95 Union Street, Berkeley Springs, WV with Pastor Richard Craig and Pastor Donald W. Dick, Sr. officiating. Private burial will be in Spohrs Crossroads Cemetery.

Family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, September 5, 2013 at the funeral home.
