Memorial service for Betty McAuliffe will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, June 11, 2010 at Gillette Memorial Chapel with Harold Fiala of the Kingdom Hall.
Betty McAuliffe, age 67, of Gillette, Wyoming died at her home on Sunday, June 6, 2010 due to heart attack.
Betty McAuliffe was born on May 20, 1943 in Blairsville, Pennsylvania the daughter of John and Julia (Dahonas) Zohoranacky. She was raised and educated in Pennsylvania.
etty enjoyed her family and co-workers. She was caring and giving, and always made sure you left laughing. Her daughter, Regina's three children took her on adventures every time they visited. Betty loved card games from goldfish to texas hold em. Her toy poodle "Wulffie" was her partner in crime.
Betty was a talented painter while living in Seattle, Washington she'd often paint windows during the holiday seasons.
Her grandchildren and great grandchildren were truly her everything, the strength to keep on fighting.
Betty's grandson Michael and granddaughter Julie's friends loved her like their own. Betty loved her son James she'd often call him her secret keeper.
Betty worked at the Rockpile Museum from 2007 until the time of her death and loved every minute of her job.
Betty is survived by her son, James McAuliffe of Federal Way, Washington; daughter, Regina Stetter of Gillette, Wyoming; brothers: Phillip Zohorancky of Georgia and Johnny Zohrancky of Pennsylvania; sister, Phyllis Smith of California;six grandchildren: Chantale Morgenstern of Hawaii, Michael Ickes of Gillette, Wyoming, Kelli Brodrick of Lead, South Dakota, Frankie McAuliffe and Jamie McAuliffe both of Sturgis, South Dakota, Julie Ickes of Gillette, Wyoming and Stevie Mitchelle of Belle Fourche, South Dakota; six great grandchildren: Mariaha, Daija and Marcus Mitchelle all of Belle Fourche, South Dakota, Aubrie Jean and Wyatt James Morgenstern both of Hawaii and Landon McAuliffe of Sturgis, South Dakota.
She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Loretta.
