Anne McAlister Bradley of Essex Meadows, Essex, died on Monday, October 2, 2006. She was the wife of the late Stephen Rowe Bradley Jr. She was born Anna Jane McAlister on April 13, 1912 in Harrisburg, PA, the daughter of the late Dr. John Barr McAlister and Helen (Motter). She attended the Silar School, now Harrisburg Academy and graduated from the Knox School Jr. College. In 1933 she married Stephen Rowe Bradley Jr. of Nyack, NY. During their marriage they were residents of Poughkeepsie, NY, Lowell, MA, Richland, WA, Minneapolis, MN, Nyack, NY, Longmeadow, MA and Darien. For many years she was a resident of Old Black Point. Active in numerous civic and social organizations, she was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary and the LAMBS of Lawrence & Memorial Hospital, Lyme Academy of Fine Arts, Old Lyme Country Club and St. John's Episcopal Church.

She is survived by son John McAlister Bradley of Pittsburgh, PA, his wife Mame and their children Katie and Steve Bradley; a son Scott Bradley of Ocracoke, NC and by her daughter Anne B. Davis and grandson, Whit Davis of Niantic. In addition to her husband she was predeceased by her son Stephen Rowe Bradley and her grandson Albert Rowe Davis.
