Funeral of Mrs. McAboy
Well known Virginia Woman Prominent in Church and Charitable Circles
The funeral of Mrs. Bland Brockenbrough McAboy who died Wednesday night at Chevy Chase Inn after a week's illness of combined peritonitis and appendicitis will be held tomorrow afternoon at 4 o'clock from her late residence, 3105 N Street Northwest. Rev. F.B. Howden, rector of St. John's Church, Georgetown will officiate. The interment which will be private will be at Oak Hill Cemetery.

Mr. McAboy was prominent in church and charitable circles in Washington and was a patroness and a member of the Boards of Directors of the Children's Hospital and the Home for Incurables. She was also a prominent member of the Society of Colonial Dames. She was born about forty-five years ago at Chatham, Virginia at the country home of her father, D. Brockenbrough, a physician of Westmoreland County. Her first marriage was to Mayhew Plater, a grandson of Governor Plater of Maryland whom she met in Washington when a young woman. After Mr. Plater's death she went abroad where she lived for several years and upon her return marred Theodore Nevin McAboy, a public auditor. Mrs. McAboy had no children and her nearest relatives besides her husband is J. William Henry of Lewis Johnson & Co.
