Annie was the daughter of William Hiter and Amelia Hawkings. She married Albert G. McGee in 1861, in Jackson County, Virginia (now West Virginia). They were the parents of six children.

Mrs. Annie Mary McGee, widow of A. G. McGee, died Saturday at the residence of her son-in-law, Mr. S. R. Cardwell, near Hempridge. She was seventy years of age and had been an invalid for a number of years. She is survived by five grown children.
