Mrs. Mays who is survived by her husband and one daughter is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. N. Nelson. She was one of the most beloved and popular young matrons of her community and her death has brought sorrow to a large host of friends. Funeral services were held on Friday the 3rd, from her home with Rev. W. H. Budd, pastor of the Hawkinsville Methodist church officiating. Interment was in Cedar Creek cemetery with W. L. Joiner in charge. Pallbearers were: R. F. Daniels, E. O. Daniles, V. R. Franklin, S. W. Smith, J. O. Slade and R. E. Dawson.
(Note: This obituary provided by Mrs. Jimmie Lee Davis in Jan 2007. Per Ms Davis, the subject of this obituary was named Fannie Lucile Nelson. The printer transposed the [initials of her father] N. J. as J. N. Fannie was actually 29 years of age at the time of death and would have been 30 on her next birthday, Nov. 24, 1931. Fannie is actually buried in Bluff Creek Cemetery, not Cedar Creek.)
